IV) The face of the eagle - Jesus took on the face of an eagle to perform the mission of the eagle. It is known that the eagle is the queen of the air and the birds, inhabits the highest cliffs with their young, but handle flight, and haughty ,sovereign in all directions, in the highest. With his eyes scan the infinite space. And sometimes facing terrible storms and the sun unmerciful. But, other times, down to the lowest parts of the earth. In similarity to the eagle, Jesus, who is the "King of kings and Lord of lords," has the sky as housing in Heaven and Paradise, in the company of the ones saved and already risen. For now reigns spiritually. With his look and spirit includes the children of men, sees the entire universe at his feet. One day, in the past, declined which eagle, regions sky to earth, to embody it, lived here, to bless and save sinners. After he returned in glory to be, again, to the right of the Father, but soon will return to earth until the clouds, to make the first resurrection of the saved, which, together with live processed, will be collected by him, in rapture and taken to the Father, which celebrate the wedding of the Lamb. And after that, soon after, He will return to earth in the company of the saved ones, coming down Him and the redeemed, in the territory of Israel, on the Mount of Olives. In that time many nations are in regiment and war, surrounding Israel. But at the time Jesus falls, with the flame of your eyes, the presence and glory will destroy fulminous all its enemies. Obtained this resounding victory, He will sit on his throne, before which all nations will gather to be judged, in whose time the creatures are divided into two big groups: the saved to the right, and sentenced to left. Then, as King of the Kings, Jesus orders the imprisonment of the devil and his angel’s demons, and begins His reign which covers all the earth, above all kingdoms, nations, people, languages, reigning with an iron rod, a kingdom blessed, glorious of justice, love, truth, peace and great joy. Earth will pass directly for total and remarkable renewal and revitalization in nature, and all evil and evil elements are removed. The knowledge of God will be a general and global reality. The subjects will have fun on joy, peace, immortality, wisdom, holiness, hardworking skills and perfect health. The poor, who were rejected in the trial, will be confined in Hades, where he will be in torment until the final day of the trial, when they will be tried and punished, if their names are not written in the Book of Life. After the millennium will follow, so the final verdict, but the saved will be free of any conviction. And then the redeemed of the Lord will live in the new Jerusalem, their final and eternal home.
Jesus Christ as King to-be is typified in the "Face of the Eagle."
We have the following outline for the study of this doctrine:
A - The "Face of Eagle" Jesus Christ the King to-be
B - Matthew Gospel
C - How it presents Jesus as "THE KING"
D - Symbol of the Second Coming - The Crown
E – The Color symbolic in the flag is purple
C O M M E N T S
A - The fourth face that Ezekiel saw was among the captives by the river was the Quebar "Face of the Eagle" representing "Jesus Christ the King to-be." The Eagle is considered the king of birds. With his penetrating gaze he probes the distances from the high heavens, the clouds, down the dizzying heights and load their pups on the wings outstretched. Makes its nest in high cliffs and it is made of his own chest feathers. It is an attractive symbol of our future king, our Eagle-King, which has its home in the High Heaven and is preparing for us an address in High Heaven, bought on the expenses of his own life.
In the Old Testament several prophecies indicate Jesus Christ as Future King:
01 - Jacob prophesied over his royalty: "The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be "(Gen 49:10)
02 - Isaiah prophesied His second Advent: "Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this. "(Isa 9:7)
03 - Jeremiah also prophesied about the king: "Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth. In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS "(Jer 23:5-6)
04 - To Daniel was revealed: "..... One like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed."(Dan 7:13-14)
The New Testament contains 260 chapters where there are 318 references about His Second Coming.
01 - The angel Gabriel said that His kingdom is eternal: "He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. "(Luke 1:32-33)
02 - Jesus himself said to the disciples He would return. (John 14:2-3, Mat 24:27; Luke 12:40). He taught the disciples how to pray for His coming. (Mat 6:10)
03 - The angels explained to a puzzled group of disciples how He would come back. (Acts 1:10-11)
04 - James also mentions the coming of the Lord. (James 5:8)
05 - The Apostle Paul speaks of His Second Advent fifty times. (I Cor 15:5 l-52, Titus 2:13)
06 - John, in the Gospel and in the Epistles, speaks of the comeback of the Lord: (John 5:28-29; I John 3:2)
07 - In the last chapter of the last book of the Bible it is a precious promise: "Surely I come quickly." Then comes the exclamation deep in the heart of His Church: "Even so, come, Lord Jesus" (Rev 22:20)
How does Jesus RETURN??
01 - "This Jesus" (Acts 1:11) will not come with an invisible spirit, but with the body that was after His resurrection that could be played (Luc 24:39), could eat (Luc 24:42-43) and that could be seen by Stephen (Acts 7:56).
02 - He will come back just like he was gone: "That Jesus ".... he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight "(Acts 1:9)
03 - He will come as a thief in the night (I Tess 5:2; Rev 16:15), unexpectedly (Mat 24:36), to take the treasure - those who belong to Him, those who washed their clothes in the blood of the Lamb. (Rev 7:14).
04 - In rapture He will come with uproar: "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. "(I Tess 4:16-17)
05 - In Revelation will come with great glory and power - not as the carpenter of Nazareth, crowned with thorns, but He will come as the "King of Glory" in whose head is the crown of honor and glory, in whose hands will be written the name: "King of kings and Lord of lords." (Rev 19:11-16).
When the "Great Eagle" is launched flying through the portals of heaven, it will be to take His, those who put their faith in Him, watched and waited for Him coming "But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem."(Heb 12:22), "..... And so shall we be forever with the Lord."
B - The Gospel of Matthew presents Jesus Christ, "the future king." Mat 27:37; John 18:37)
C - Matthew presents Jesus as "King" which will return to fetch his bride, and then take your scepter and rule all nations for a thousand years on earth. The book was written to the Hebrews, who have long waited by the "King Messiah, legitimate heir to the throne of David." In order to show his true ancestry, Matthew opens the book with his pedigree, beginning thus: "The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, son of David "(Acts 1:1)
D - The Symbol of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ is the "crown" (Rev 14:14, 19:12)
E - The doctrine of the Second Coming is symbolized in the flag of the Foursquare Gospel Church by the color purple, typifying the royalty of Jesus Christ - "KING OF KINGS, AND Lord of lords "(Rev 19:16)
