The face of the Ox in the Gospel of Mark

III) THE FACE OF THE OX - Jesus took the side of the Ox. This animal is strong, gentle, useful, and an obedient  servant. The ox accepts, takes, supports and leads the light or heavy loads, without ever complaining. Similarly spiritually, Jesus took the side of the ox, for, as a DOCTOR and LIBERATOR, take, accept, support, help and take, on himself, the loads of children of God. On the cross He took upon himself, not only the heaviest, which were our sins, but also our illness and pain, for we did not need to take them (Isaiah 53:4, I Peter 2:24). Even today and whenever, he takes from us and carries on the same loads. We can throw on Him our loads, because He is and will be the big, powerful and famous physician and liberator who had come to heal, cure and in fact fulfilling its mission (Luke 4:18,19 ; Matthew 11:4-6). Jesus cured and cures ills of body, mind and spirit. Directly and indirectly, personally or through his disciples and churches.

Healing will continue as long as there are patients because their treatment is necessary and indispensable (Matthew 12:11,12; Luke 13:15,16) for building genuine and full of faith (John 4:48) and for evidence and confirmation of the same faith (Mark 16:17,18). Jesus said that when he did anything, it was only and always the will of God. (John 4:34; 8:39). In fact, one of the things that He was always doing, devotedly, was healing. Therefore, we believe and affirm that Jesus is the desire to heal, as Jesus himself said to the leper in Matthew 8:2,3. And this powerful Jesus, full of love, which has the face of an ox and takes our loads, is immutable in its purpose, power, love, program, works and promises (Hebrews 13:8).

Jesus Christ is typified as a doctor in the "FACE OF OX."
We have the following outline for the study of this doctrine:

A - The "Face of OX" Jesus Christ, the Physician
B - Gospel Mark
C - How it presents Jesus as the "Servant"
D - Symbol of the Divine Healing The Chalice
E - Symbolic color in clear blue-flag

C O M M E N T S

A - The third face that Ezekiel saw was the "FACE OF OX," featuring "Jesus Christ as our Great Physician." How can the ox be compared to Jesus? Looking at this point, the founder of our work has concluded that the similarity is in the characteristics of the ox, the most beautiful symbol of-the-borne cargoes. In Deut 14:4 is the first to mention it in the list of clean animals. It is gentle, obedient and loyal to death. This was precisely what Jesus showed through his whole life (Mat 11:29), and finally on Calvary (Fil 2:7-8), taking on Him, with great suffering, the weight of our sin, shame and disease. " his visage was so marred more than any man....." (Isa 52:14), when He died, He became winner over sin, sickness, death and hell, therefore, " Death is swallowed up in victory" (I Cor 15:54 b).

Let’s see some evidence of Divine Healing through the Scriptures
01 - God made a covenant with the people of Israel when he left Egypt: "And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee (Jehovah Rafah) "(Ex 15:26).

02 - Jesus was appointed by the prophet Isaiah as the one who led our diseases. "Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed"(Isa 53:4-5).

03 - The above prophecy fulfilled in the beginning of the ministry of Jesus, according to reports Matthew. "When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses"(Mat 8:16-17).

04 - Here are the precious words of Psalmist David, referring to Jesus: "It is He who forgives all your iniquity, and heals all your diseases" (Ps 103:3).

05 - Matthew 9:35 presents Jesus in his ministry threefold: "And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people."

06 –Jesus “…called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease”. (Mat 10:1).

07 - After the ascent of Jesus Christ "Many signs and wonders were done among the people by the hands of the Apostles .... There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one. " (Acts 5:12,16).

08 - "JESUS CHRIST gives you health", said Peter to Aeneas, who was paralyzed for eight years. (Acts 9:33-34).

09 - Among the nine gifts given to believers by the Holy Spirit are the "gifts of HEAL" (I Cor 12:8-11)

10 - Peter, in his Epistle, records the double benefit of the sacrifice of Christ on Calvary: SALVATION AND DIVINE CURE. "Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed"(I Pe 2:24)

11 - This is the covenant of DIVINE CURE in the New Testament: "Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him."(James5:14-15).

JESUS SHOWS US HOW TO TAKE POSSESSION OF DIVINE CURE:

“Ask, and it shall be given you…  For every one that asketh receiveth...." (Mat 7:7-8)

If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it" (John 14:14)

“If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you" (John 15:7)

"all things are possible to him that believeth" (Mar 9:23)

"What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them" (Mar 11:24)

The same Jesus who healed during his earthly ministry and in the days of the apostles, heals today because He is "The same yesterday, today and forever" (Heb 13:8)

B - The Gospel of Mark presents Jesus Christ, the "Great Doctor",” he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows...." (Isa 53:4) This prophecy was fulfilled in beginning of the ministry of Jesus on earth. (Mat 8:16-17).

C - Mark presents Jesus, the Great Physician, as "Servant". "For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister…" (Mar 10:45). This Gospel was written to the Romans, a people that had a certain military proud to meet the excess. (Note Luke 7:8), Jesus as the perfect Servant said: "Not as I want, but as You want," referring to Grand Being in command. (Mat 26:39). “Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work” (John 4:30-34). Oh! Shall we have the hunger to be obedient similarly!

D - The Symbol of the Divine Healing is the "CUP" (I Cor 10:16)

E - This is also symbolized in the flag of the Church of the
Foursquare Gospel by the color blue, the color of the sky, from which comes the "DIVINE CURE."
