II ) The face of the Lion - Jesus took on the task and the face of the lion. He adopted the title of Lion of the tribe of Judah (Revelation 5:5). It is known that the animal Lion is the strongest and the king of the quadrupeds.
Having the face of a lion, Jesus is coated with power, being divine, and one of His main tasks was to be the Baptism person in the Holy Spirit. John the Baptist had prophesied that He baptized in the Holy Spirit (John 3:11). In fact Jesus is the Baptism person in the Holy Spirit, giving the Spirit granted by His intercession. (John 14:16).
Furthermore, as lion, Jesus gives His power to all who need to preach the Gospel (Matthew 28:18 -19). And as a lion, Jesus faces, attack and defeat the false lion-devil (I Peter 5:8) which is accusing us and our brothers (Revelation 12:10) and also defends his servants when they sin(I John 2:19). Therefore, we received from him, powerful Jesus, power and assistance, and his armor (Ephesians 6:11) so that we can be strengthened and protected, and we can chase the false lion (James 4:7) and we can expel the demons in the name of JESUS.
JESUS CHRIST, the Baptism person in the Holy Spirit
Jesus Christ as baptism person in the Holy Spirit is typified in the "FACE OF LION."
We have the following outline for the study of this doctrine;
A - The "Face of a lion" Jesus Christ the Baptism person in the Holy Spirit
B - Gospel John
C - How it presents Jesus as "Son of God"
D - Symbol of Baptism in the Holy Spirit Dove
E - Color on the flag symbolic as Gold (yellow)
C O M M E N T S
A - The Second face that Ezekiel saw was the "FACE OF LION" showing "Jesus Christ as baptism person in the Holy Spirit." When we read the Word of God that Samson, David and Benaia killed a lion (Judges 14:5-6, I Sam 17:34-36, II Sam 23:20), we always think about very brave people, because the lion is a symbol of strength and power. The first and last book of the Bible speaks of Jesus as a lion. "Judah is a lion’s whelp" (Gen 49:9) is referring to Jesus, which was coming from the tribe of Judah. It will be met even in the future, we read in the last book of the Bible: "And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof. "(Rev 5:5).
The Lion have said: "It's given me all the power in heaven and earth" (Mat 28:18), was recognized by John the Baptist and as the Baptism person in the Holy Spirit: ".... He who comes after me is more powerful than me .... He baptizes you with the Holy Spirit ...." (Mat 3:11). In the last days of his ministry Jesus said, ".... It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. " . (John 16:7) Shortly before his Ascension, Jesus told the disciples: " For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence" (Acts 1:5) Jesus considered so important the baptism in the Holy Spirit that ordered His disciples to " And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high." (Luke 24: 49)
This promise took place on the Day of Pentecost. Take the story in Acts 2:1-4. " And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance".
Is still standing the same promise? Yes, "I For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call "(Acts 2:39)
This precious promise has become reality since the apostolic times.
Take the events in Samaria, Caesarea and Ephesus
01 - A year after the Pentecost, in Samaria, the Samaritans "received the Holy Spirit." (Acts 8:1-24). The speaking in tongues as a manifestation of the spirit is evident, because Simon, the magician, offered money for the power of this gift expressed forward before his eyes.
02 - Eight years after Pentecost (Acts 10:1-48), in Caesarea, Cornelius, a gentile, with "many who had stayed together" were listening to the words of Peter, when the Holy Spirit fell on them and: " While Peter yet spoke these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God"(Acts 10:44-46).
03 - Twenty years after the Day of Pentecost (Acts 19:1-6), at Ephesus, the Holy Spirit came about a dozen men who were listening to the word of Paul, and "spoke languages and prophesied.”( Acts 19:6).
B - The Gospel of John presents Jesus, the "baptism person" who baptizes with the Holy Spirit, " (John 1:32-33)
C - John presents Jesus, the baptism person, as "Son of God" and says: "These, however, were written to believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God." (John 20:31) His gospel was written for believers of all races, languages and tribes. John does not present the human origin of Jesus, but opens his Gospel with the positive assertion of his divinity. "In the beginning was the Word ....... and the Word was God." (John 1:1). Jesus himself identified with the Father: ".... said that God was his own father, making it equal to God. " (John 5:18). Accepted the exclamation of Thomas, "my Lord and my God!" (John 20:28). His eternity said: "Before Abraham existed, I am. "(John 8, 58).
D - The symbol of the baptism in the Holy Spirit is "DOVE." (Mat 3:16).
E - This aspect of the Foursquare Gospel in this flag is symbolized by the color of gold, typifying the "CELESTIAL FIRE OF HOLY SPIRIT."
